●About the  Ota Uchu-no-Kai(Ota Astronomical Club)

1.Foundation August 15th, 1970
2.Activities Our club was organized in Ota City Nakashima commemoration library.
After that, a club was authorized as a social education group. and 30 years passed our club.
Local Amateur Astronomers' Club around the Ota city ( 80km north of Tokyo ), was foundated in August 15th, 1970 ,with currently 53 members.
"Uchu", in Our Club name,  means "The Universe".
 Members interests are spaned in various fields of "Universe".
Astronomical Education, Astro-Photo, Instrumentation, Computational Astronomy, CCD imaging and Image Processing, History of Astronomy,
Cultural History related Astronomical Phoenomena. Astrometry of MinorPlanets,Comet Science and other fields

1.Club Activities

Monthly Meeting : at Nakajima Kinen Toshokan ( Library of Ota City) 1st
Saturday night in each month.

Publication: Club's Journal "Uchu" is Irregurarly published.
Activities: see Schedule of this year and Observational ,Scientific and Technical meeting. Current Schedule

2. Social and Cultural Activities

Popularization of Astronomy
(1). Shimin Kanbo Kai (the Star-Watching meeting for citizen ) .... 4 times per Year
(2). Uchu-Ten ...Exhibition of Astro-Photos, Observation Results and other..... Annual
(3). Instructor for TENTAI KYOUSHITSU (the astronimical classroom ) ,two times in a year,   co-ordinated by Nakajima Kinen Toshokan ( Library of Ota City)
