As you may be able to guess from the el cheapo cover art, "Osorezan Satsujin Jiken" is pulp fiction at its finest. In order to solve a pair of Tokyo murders, Asami must travel to the farthest reaches of Aomori prefecture, the northernmost area of Japan's main island. In a tale which would especially appeal to New Age enthusiasts Asami finds himself dealing with "itako", the mysterious spiritual mediums of Japan's north country. Not my favorite Uchida novel, but still a good one.
