very little known fact about American Vice-President Al Gore is that once while
on a visit to Japan he posed for this photo wearing a Japanese policeman's uniform.
Japanese police sometimes place statues like this one, or silhouettes of policemen
alongside roadways to remind people to obey traffic laws. In some places there
are flashing lights which look like the lights of a patrol car.
